About Us

Physicians and Surgeons for Scientific Integrity (PSSI) is a United States 501(c)(3) educational not-for-profit corporation established in 2006 to assist in reestablishing integrity in science.   PSSI’s mission includes providing a means for physicians and surgeons to be publicly counted among those skeptical of nature-driven Darwinian macroevolution (molecules to man - DME), which is now taught as fact in most schools around the world despite the woeful lack of scientific evidence supporting it.  In addition to the public listing of its physician and surgeon members, other members of the medical community and the general public may also support PSSI through membership.  This support enables PSSI to carry out a key facet of its mission, the sponsoring of activities and events internationally to educate the public on this critical subject. (Please visit the Events section of this website to view events sponsored by PSSI.)

Educating the public on DME is very important as the public is told, through a troubling lack of integrity in the science community, that the consensus of scientists is that DME is a fact, which is far from the truth.  Appropriately, writer and film maker (Jurassic Park, et al) Michael Crichton (summa cum laude graduate of Harvard College, MD from Harvard Medical School, postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, visiting lecturer in anthropology at Cambridge University) made the following statement regarding such a supposed consensus:  Consensus science "is an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you're being had."

Sadly, the strong scientific evidence challenging DME has been suppressed by the very disciplines that should support following the evidence wherever it leads. As physicians and surgeons, many of whom have performed postdoctoral work in biology, we can assure you that the amazing complexity we observe daily in our various areas of practice is not the product of random, natural processes.  Should you be skeptical of this assertion, we urge you to objectively examine the evidence for yourself.  Our Resources page is a great place to begin your search for the truth.  Should you simply desire a quick overview of the germane science we encourage you to attend one of our events, many of which are free.
